The City of Grand Junction will host a groundbreaking event on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 3 p.m. at F 1/2 Parkway near 24 Rd. in the Subaru Dealership Parking area. The groundbreaking officially kicks off the F ½ Parkway construction between 24 and 24 ½ Road that has just begun and will continue through November of this year. Phase 2, which is east of 24 ½ Road is planned to begin in 2025. Once the project is complete, the F ½ Parkway aims to improve access to and from the loop at 24 Road and for travelers seeking alternative routes into Grand Junction.
