The two adult males who were transported with life-threatening injuries were pronounced deceased at the hospital. The Mesa County Coroner's Office will be responsible for releasing their identities after the appropriate notifications have been made. No arrests have been made at this time. Investigation remains ongoing as the Grand Junction Police Department continues to conduct interviews and collect evidence in this incident. There is no ongoing threat to the community and no further information available at this time.

The Grand Junction Police Department and Mesa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting in the area of 29 Rd and North Avenue on 05/15/24, at approximately 3:20 p.m. Two adult males were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. One person has been detained for questioning. No arrest has been made at this time. This is an isolated incident, and there is no outstanding threat to the community.
