On May 10, 2025, at approximately 1:55 p.m., dispatchers at the Grand Junction Regional Communication Center received a report of two individuals found deceased inside a home in the 3100 block of E Road.
Upon arrival, officers with the Grand Junction Police Department located a deceased female who appeared to have suffered physical trauma. A deceased male was also found at the scene with what is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths. At this time, detectives are not searching for any outstanding suspects and believe all individuals involved have been identified. There is no known threat to the public, and the incident appears to be isolated at this time.
The Grand Junction Police Department is in the early stages of the investigation. Detectives continue to interview witnesses and collect evidence.
The Mesa County Coroner’s Office will determine the official cause and manner of death and release the identities of the deceased persons once next-of-kin notifications have been made.
