GJPD Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Crash

On August 20, 2025, at approximately 7:40 p.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a vehicle versus motorcycle crash on the 200 block of 29 Road.

Through the course of investigation, officers learned that a truck traveling southbound on 29 Road was turning east onto Four Corners Drive when it struck a motorcycle traveling northbound.

The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital by the Grand Junction Fire Department with life-threatening injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, the motorcyclist succumbed to those injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The Mesa County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the motorcyclist once next-of-kin notifications have been made.

The investigation into this crash remains ongoing, and there is no additional information available at this time.
