*Recruit Firefighter/Paramedic - Hiring Bonus of $2,000 paid upon graduation and successful completion of Mesa County Protocols. 

*Lateral Firefighter/Paramedic - Hiring Bonus of $4,000 paid upon graduation and successful completion of Mesa County Protocols.

Benefits  

  • 13.846 hours of paid time off accrued per pay period.   
  • FPPA Statewide Defined Benefit pension plan includes a 10.5% employer contribution and 12% employee contribution. 
  • 457 Deferred Compensation-The City will contribute a maximum of 1% when the employee contributes a minimum of 2%.
  • Access to the Sage Health and Wellness Center, a near-site facility that provides free or low-cost healthcare services to employees and dependents covered by a City healthcare plan.
  • Early childhood educational services through the City of Grand Junction’s Child Care Center.
