2022 Santa Cause Run
This event promotes holiday spirit while raising money for inclusive playground equipment. This will be the 7th year Kiwanis and Grand Junction Parks and Recreation have teamed up for the cause. In the previous 6 years, the event has raised $16,477 for the cause. The first completed project is the new wheelchair-accessible swing at Canyon View Park. The first 300 entrants will receive a Santa suit or a race shirt to wear during the race. What a sight it will be as a wave of red takes off down the trail!

After the deadline, registrations will only be taken on race day and will include a $10 late fee (shirts and suits not guaranteed).

Award Divisions
- Age Group Awards: 12 and under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and up
- *Mr. & Mrs. Claus: The fastest combined 5K time for a male and female
- *Santa and His Little Helper: Fastest combined 5K time for a runner 18 and over and a runner under 18
- * Grinch and Max: Fastest 5K time for a runner and their dog
*Let us know when you sign up if you'd like to compete in these divisions! There are no extra registration fees to participate in these divisions, but there are extra prizes!
